Alisha Jeppar’s journey from a challenging childhood in Abkhazia to becoming a renowned artist and entrepreneur is a remarkable story of resilience, hard work, and unyielding passion. Recently, Jeppar opened up with GRAZIA, sharing insights into her rarely discussed talents and the trials she overcame.
Born in Abkhazia amidst escalating military tensions, Jeppar’s family relocated to Crimea when she was just six. Despite financial hardships, her parents recognized her potential and enrolled her in dance, music, and journalism classes. Jeppar’s dedication was extraordinary, particularly in the face of discrimination due to her Crimean Tatar heritage.
Jeppar’s musical talent shone through her commitment to piano, spending 4-6 hours daily practicing. She overcame physical limitations, like small hands, with innovative techniques to play complex pieces by composers like Liszt and Bach. Despite facing discrimination, her performances eventually garnered widespread acclaim in Crimea.
Apart from music, Jeppar also explored dancing, journalism, and artistic gymnastics, each contributing uniquely to her growth. Journalism laid the groundwork for her media business, while dance helped her overcome shyness.
Jeppar believes that talent is hard work and that success is impossible without a supportive team. This understanding led to her establishing TOPCITY, a PR & Media company.
Jeppar’s vocal talents were as striking as her piano skills. With around 10 songs, including covers and originals, she quickly rose to fame in Crimea. However, a car accident and subsequent life changes led her to prioritize her business and family over her singing career.
Jeppar attributes her youthful appearance to a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, avoiding alcohol and smoking, and regular physical activity. Her commitment to continuous learning and personal development also plays a crucial role.
Alisha Jeppar’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance and hard work. Her journey from a young girl facing adversity to a successful entrepreneur and artist is not just inspiring but a vivid reminder that talent, coupled with determination, can overcome even the toughest of challenges.
